Welcome to BESTPRAC!
BESTPRAC was started in 2014 as a COST Targeted Network that gathers administrative, financial and legal staff at universities and research-driven institutions who are carrying out different tasks to support transnational external competition based (in particular EU funded) research projects.
Even though the COST funding subsided in October 2019, BESTPRAC is still active and trying to find alternative ways of sustaining the fantastic network of research support staff that was created. Read more about the latest developments here.
The network serves as a platform for exchanging experiences, sharing and developing best practices, encouraging knowledge sharing, knowledge transfer and increasing efficiency in these fields. That is why active participation of its members is expected and valued greatly in the BESTPRAC community.
We invite you to explore, use and share the vast collection of BESTPRAC learning materials produced during the 6 years of COST funding. These are highly useful for anyone working on EU funded projects, especially people working on Horizon 2020 proposals / projects.

The BESTPRAC network has found a new home under the umbrella of the EARMA association. It is still open to all research support staff working at RPOs and you are free to join us by registering on EARMA's website and joining the BESTPRAC Thematic group platform. If you wish to be included on our mailing list, please fill out this form. (note: members are added to the mailing list once per month)

What is COST?
COST - European Cooperation in the field of Scientific and Technical Research - is one of the longest-running European instruments supporting cooperation among scientists and researchers across Europe. COST is also the first and widest European intergovernmental network for coordination of nationally funded research activities.
