Expertise relevant to the Targeted Network
I have been the Research Director for the School of Engineering and Natural Sciences at the University of Iceland since 2009. As RD I have participated in both pre and post award work as well as policy duties. Expertise have been gained through daily work and active participation in Research Management related workshops and conferences.
University/Organisation
The University of Iceland has 5 Schools, 25 faculties and 4 main interdisciplinary studies. There is a unit of central research administration and a small tech transfer office that reside in the Division of Research and Innovation. In addition to the central unit each School has a Research Director that deals specifically with the needs of their different faculties. Research admin personnel meet regularly and are all members of the newly formed IceARMA.
