Short Term Scientific Missions (STSM) in COST TN 1302 BESTPRAC were aimed at supporting individual mobility, strengthening the existing networks and fostering collaborations by allowing research administrators to visit an institution in another participating COST Country or an approved NNC institution or IPC institution. A STSM should specifically contribute to the objectives of the COST Targeted Network.
The aim of STSMs was to contribute to the policy and objectives of BESTPRAC, namely:
• to allow networking and exchanging financial, legal, and administrative experience;
• knowledge sharing, knowledge transfer, and increased efficiency in project management; and
• to establish a network for the administrative, finance and legal services in universities, research organizations and related entities.
STSM applicants should be employed at an institution of a COST participating country having accepted the Memorandum of Understanding of BESTPRAC, with a record of active participation in BESTPRAC.
Applicants who are early stage administrators (max. 8 years after the last education attainment or years in the profession as research administrator), representing the target group of BESTPRAC and coming from so-called inclusiveness countries were particularly encouraged to apply.
