Description of job and tasks involved
I work primarily in the field of Post-Award. My projects involve advising researchers and assisting them in managing and reporting on research projects, mostly European funded. I also participate in all levels of the externally funded audit process at the University.

The University of Iceland has around 14.000 students and 685 academic staff. The University is part of over 50 research projects supported by the 7th framework programme. The University is divided into five schools: engineering and life sciences, humanities, social sciences, health sciences, and education. Research administration is carried out at the centralised level through the division of sciences and innovation and at the school level through research directors. The levels cooperate quite closely.
