Expertise relevant to the Targeted Network

Active researcher since 1986. Publications in refereed journals, conference proceedings and in public press. Editor of the Mediterranean Journal for Research in Mathematics Education. 

Coordinated several European funded projects such as the European Comenius projects EDIPED (2002-2005), MATHEU (2003-2006), the Grundtvig MP project CAREER-EUshop (2008-2010), the ERASMUS project INENTER (2010-2012), the Cyprus National Structural Funds project on Developing Liaison Offices between Academia and Industry (2009-2014), the Comenius MP project Le-MATH(2012-2014), the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs “Europe EYEs are open” (Cycle 3 and Cycle 4, 2010-2014) and has been a partner in several other EU funded projects as well as an external evaluator.

Research Administrator at the University of Cyprus since 2006 managing a Service of 25 people with a subgroup of 8 under Research Support Sector.

Trainer since 2006 of the series of training seminars under Grundtvig courses with title “Preparation of Proposals and Management of European Education projects”, 5 day trainings, offered more than 40 sessions since 2006.

At the level A the General Budget for research is approved.

At the level B the strategy and research planning and implementation suggested by the level C is decided and approved.

At the level D the support of all research needs and activities, proposals, information, contracts, IPR, promotion and networking, research administration and secretariat support to the level C is planned and implemented, managing the European Office of Cyprus.

Levels F with the four offices provide the necessary support for the functions of level E.

Parallel Level G supports the financial administration of research and payments.

Parallel Level H supports researcher’s contracts.
