Being the coordinator of the International Office in HETFA I am responsible for coordinating the work of 4-6 colleagues, preparing strategies and action plans with regard to our operation.
Our operation is two-folded:
1) We support the work of our researchers in all phases of the granting period. We have a strong role in broadening our institution’s international network, to identify available funds, possible partnerships, to prepare and then to implement projects. We are also strongly involved in managing related administrative and financial tasks, with a special regard to reporting.
2) Due to the fact that HETFA has a broad network of local, regional and central public authorities, our office also contributes to supporting them in getting engaged in international activities, preparing and implementing projects in various fields, such as energy efficiency, cultural heritage, tourism, youth, citizenship.

HETFA Research Institute is an independent and private research company operating as an SME. There are four separate offices on the basis of the different fields of expertise of our research and analytical colleagues. In each thematic office there are project managers who support the work of researchers, however, the fourth office, the International Office is which is responsible for providing support in the field of EU and international projects.
Colleagues in the international office are responsible for different tasks in each phase of the grant periods. Since our office is small, each colleague is involved both in the pre- and post granting phases depending on their thematic expertise, if there is any.
