I have been working as a european research contracts manager for nearly 8 years at the Université de Bretagne Occidentale of Brest (UBO).
I started my career at the Technology Transfer Office of the university within a regional Joint Venture Bretagne Valorisation where I worked on the FP projects and benefited from a fertilising environnement in terms of legal and IPR knowledge and worked on good pratices in european projects management.
In 2012, I moved to the recently created European and International Affairs Department.
Being in charge of the follow-up of more than 50 projects mainly in the Framework Programme (FP6 and FP7), I have also developed skills and abilities in european projects management to help the researchers and lab staff of the university in their projects management acting as the intermediary between the partners and/or the European Commission and agencies.
As Legal Authorised Representative (LEAR) of UBO for the european commission, I am the contact person for all the administrative, legal and financial aspects of the european FP7research projects.
I have to provide help to researchers, the Human Ressources, financial and accountant departments staff on a regularly basis and I am faced with questions and problems that I would like to discuss with colleagues carrying out administrative tasks in support of researchers from other countries.
I wish we could exchange good practices and discuss solutions to common problems.
